In light of the recent posts about our family struggle and survival mode, I wrote with a tired mind, and felt like it was beginning to get jumbled, and there is still so much I wanted to say. SO I decided to write some feelings out a little differently!
Survival is…
- Admitting you can no longer fight the fight alone.
Survival is…
- Stripping your child of all his comforts, and even some of your own.
Survival is…
- packing up and leaving a family Christmas gathering, only 15 minutes after arriving, because some live differently than you.
Survival is…
- Letting it go and walking away, when others challenge your decisions.
Survival is…
- Carrying through with your decisions when those close to you just don’t seem to understand.
Survival is…
- sticking your ground, even when it doesn’t make sense….just for the sake of sticking your ground.
Survival is…
- Believing in your children when all hope seems lost.
Survival is…
- Believing in your God through every. single. storm.
Survival is…
- embracing in His New Mercies each and every morning.
Survival is…
- Making the decision to choose Joy. Each and every day.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
